Henri Texier - ©TEXIER Henri .JPG

Henri Texier studied in Paris, first at Penninghen and then at the Académie Charpentier, where he completed his Master’s degree in interior architecture and design. He will return there in 2024 to teach design.

He produced his first nude drawings at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, undertook an internship in cabinetmaking and design at Atelier 365 in Brussels, where he designed small pieces of furniture, and took part in several interior architecture and design competitions, experimenting with various approaches to space and objects.

His first interior design projects were carried out for detached houses in the Puglia region of Italy and in the town of Uzès, in the Gard department of France. The raw treatment of materials and attention to detail, combined with a commitment to high-quality workmanship and finishes, characterise his approach, which respects the site and the existing architectural features.

His work focuses on the pursuit of proportion, where utility and aesthetics must come together in the service of function. A quest for simplicity. Each object and piece of furniture is crafted from natural, sustainable materials manufactured in France, with a view to preserving traditional craftsmanship and supporting local supply chains.

He presented the first module of the Grand Pas collection at the Paris Design Week Factory 2023 at the Joseph Gallery, 116 Rue de Turennes, where he was recognised by the magazines AMC and À vivre as a rising talent. He has participated in the event every year since then, presenting a new collection on each occasion.

Alongside his work as an interior architect and designer, he collaborates in the publishing industry as an illustrator and layout artist with the author Sophie Laroque-Texier on books such as Haïku 15 March – 10 May, a response to the 2020 lockdown, Etre poète, paroles fées, Les Enchantés and Tout d’un coup les étoiles, aimed at children and offering a poetic vision of life.
