MÔN
DECKCHAIR - COFFEE TABLE

This project was born out of an encounter: that of two creative sensibilities, Emma Bigoni, a cabinetmaker, and Henri Texier, an interior architect and designer. Two worlds that intersect and harmonise to create a collection of contemporary furniture designed to breathe new life into discarded, often forgotten wood.

This collection tells the story of the silent dialogue between two local wood species, two textures, two histories: that of wood shaped by time and that of a material set aside, yet full of potential. The piece thus becomes a tribute to the diversity of wood, to its unique characteristics, its marks and its knots – all traces that we have chosen here to reveal rather than conceal.

The fluid lines contrast with a sculptural base carved from a solid log, evoking the natural curves of the Vosges landscape: organic forms, grounded volumes, as if extracted from a familiar landscape.

The assembly, crafted using the traditional mortise-and-tenon technique, ensures strength, the ability to be dismantled and fine craftsmanship. It extends the project’s artisanal spirit through a precise and sustainable approach.

The Môn collection also includes a desk, a bench, a chair and a mirror.
